With wheat area and initial yield data now available, a clear picture has emerged of the small size of the 2020 UK wheat crop.
In a series of briefings dating back to March this year, nabim has been highlighting the impact of weather on the size of the domestic wheat crop and the effect on the UK wheat market, as well as the potential effect of changes to trade policy.
These briefings, which are published publicly, help members to manage customer expectations in years where homegrown wheat availability is limited and there are technical challenges for millers and bakers to overcome.
