The latest version of the Virtual Mill is now available for download. If you already have the Mill on your computer, the update will overwrite the previous one, so you won’t have multiple versions installed.
Improvements include: health and safety related items added/changed; 3D model refinement/modification; improvements to labelling; speaker Identification; and remote muting. However, of greatest benefit is that this latest version is digitally signed and approved by Microsoft, which should enable any remaining company firewall issues to be overcome. To download the latest update, go to the Flour Milling Training website and select the Virtual Mill dropdown to take you to the set-up instructions https://www.flourmillingtraining.com/set-up-instructions. If told the file already exists, simply ‘proceed’ and the latest version will be installed.
Meanwhile, the second round of this session’s virtual tutorials is now underway. The third round, in March/April, is likely to focus on preparation for the May examinations. You are reminded that the deadline for registering to re-sit an examination is February 28.
