The milling industry is one of only a handful of sectors selected to participate in a Treasury-funded Covid-19 study.
The nationwide survey aims to identify workplace factors and characteristics associated with risks of coronavirus infections among workers, with the hope of making workplaces safer during future pandemics.
Led by Professor Tony Fletcher from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Science, the first surveys in food and drink manufacture – which has suffered several Covid outbreaks – will include our industry.
The initial stage, in February, will consist of a short online Q&A, but as the work continues there will be further opportunities to contribute. Participants will be free to withdraw at any time, but we think it’ll be a valuable exercise.
