UKFM AGM and Convention – Cambridge 19-20 May

This year’s Annual general meeting and Convention takes place on 19th-20th May in Cambridge. After the AGM there will be a short afternoon conference session addressing sustainability issues, before an evening reception and lovely dinner at Westminster College. On Saturday morning we’ll be visiting the fascinating NIAB innovation farm at Histon, just outside Cambridge. There we’ll see the superb facilities and discuss a range of topics such as breeding innovation in wheat (including precision breeding); how to achieve better yields, disease resistance in new wheat varieties; building more sustainable production systems and more. NAIB has terrific expertise in translating fundamental science into practical innovation – it is sure to be a fascinating morning, rounded off with lunch.
